CHECK OUT THIS PLACE -- YOU'LL FALL IN LOVE WITH IT
|

MARCH 29, 2004: Here it is the end of March. We've been getting stuff ready for our 'vacation'. It begins on the last day of next month, April 30th, after work. I intend on getting us out of the state of Florida (YAHOOOOO!!!!) before we settle down somewhere in Georgia for a good nights rest.
At first we had thought that we'd like to go to Vermont to have a Civil Union but after thinking it over, we decided to GET MARRIED!!! Yup, we're going to Canada!!!!
We've been in contact with, Diane who is the womyn that will marry us. We've also been working on our vows and think that the ones we created for our Unity ceremony 11 years ago are perfect again this time for our wedding. Geez, that sounds strange ....... W-E-D-D-I-N-G!! I LOVE IT!
We know very well that Canadian law requires one of us to live in Canada if we should ever decide on a divorce and that it is difficult to become a Canadian. It doesn't matter because with all that we have been through, we know we are together for eternity. So it doesn't matter to either of us.
Ya know, it's a big step when you realize that what we're doing is a 'legal' bond but since we're bonded in a more meaningful way ..... spiritually - making it legal brings about a bit of excitement. Maybe because since I've been a younin' I never thought the day would come that I could actually be legally bonded with another womyn. Wow!
The gals who are offering us a place to stay in Ottawa AND where the wedding will take place are awaiting our arrival. They're a bit younger than we are but seem very mature and sweet. They too were married by Diane back in Dec 2004.

APRIL 8, 2004:
Mercy sakes, where have the days gone???? It's the second week of April already! Only 22 more days to go! Okay, we are taking our "BoyZ" with us on the trip up to my sisters farm in the beautiful Catskills of NY but Ms Beasley will be a house guest at a friends home. He works with animals and has two other kitties so I'm sure Ms B won't be lonely at all. He also rides a 1947 Harley!!! Beautiful bike for sure. The "BoyZ" will stay with their Auntie Lori and Uncle Walt for a few days.
We've gotten together all the paperwork needed to get our license in Ottawa plus to get back into the states. Geez, the last time we went up north we were there for 2 days and '9/11' happened ..... on the very day we had planned to go to the city so I could show Billie the places I hung out at when I was a young studly-dyke, or as I like to say, "My education years." Of course we changed our minds as you well guessed. I'm not so sure if we'll go into the city this time around either but we will decide that after we become Mrs & Mrs.
I've downloaded and printed up the Canadian marriage license application which will be filled out shortly - by next week, I"m sure.
We've decided not to make anything about this special day 'formal' because simply put: we AREN'T formal. Nothing about us is formal, so why would our most important day be formal? We are who and what we are ...... every single day of the year. I WILL say here though that blue jeans will not be worn, nor will flannel shirts. *S* Boots ..... maybe!

April 17, 2004
The girls and I have been in touch and they offered to order our 'wedding cake' so we won't be pressed for time after getting there. I can't wait to meet all of them!!!
I'm not sure but I think Billie wants to use our vows we created for our Unity Ceremony back in 1993. I think that would be fantastic. They mean more now then they ever did!! I do have a little more to add to mine though.

May 21, 2004:

Whew!! We are back from the best vacation I have ever had! Our wedding went off beautifully. My wife and I couldn't be happier.
We are definitely making plans to move back up to my Catskill mountains! My sister has offered her place for us until we are able to get a job and place to live. Who could ask for more??!! So our goal is to fix the house up in order to sell it. We've given ourselves 2 years to do this make the move. It will be GOOD BYE FLORIDA ----- HELLO NY!!
I'm working on a couple photo albums to upload to the website. I figure it will take a week or two to get it all together so please keep checking back here. Okay?
This is all for now because I have lots to do this weekend ..... and of course I want to spend time with my WIFE!!!!. Need to take the engine off the trike so my boss can work on it for us. Long story - will write about it later on.
MORE TO COME
